Caribou think everything is so darn funny

Caribou just make me laugh, I can't help it. Here are some caribou facts!

• They have hooves the size of dinner plates


• The females are the only deer with antlers!


• Their name comes from a corruption of "xalibu", meaning "one who paws"...


• ...because they paw in the snow for lichen.


• The caribou at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park in Nova Scotia will let you scratch their noses, but you're probably not supposed to stick your hands in the enclosure.

Stumpy

Portrait of a very sickly little kitten, rescued by my brother-in-law. Not pictured: the stunning amounts of snot pouring from its nose. Stumpy is on antibiotics now, and hopefully on the way to recovery.

I wonder if there's a market for unflattering pet portraits?
